隨著人口老化，長照服務如火如荼的展開，肌少症(sarcopenia)這個老年病症候群逐漸受到重視。肌少症的核心概念為肌肉的力量、質量，或是生理表現的下降，這是會造成臨床的不利於復健的結果，目前營養及運動的介入被視為可以預防和改善肌少症的有效介入方法(吳雅汝、周怡君、詹鼎正，2014)。本課程將簡介肌少症、說明肌少症的臨床表現、診斷與治療、詳述肌少症對吞嚥功能的影響、以及在吞嚥治療上需要特別的考量與介入。若林秀隆博士是一位日本知名的復健科醫師，本次受邀來台灣分享其研究與臨床的成果。
